Ryan Sampson, Lynda Keever and I attended the Realtors Land Institute National Land Experience in Las Vegas, NV in March where we had 2 days of speakers and seminars. We enjoyed once again hearing Dr. Mark Dotzour, Chief Economist and Director of Research for the Real Estate Center at Texas A & M University. Dr. Dotzour pointed out that he is reasonably optimistic for 2013-2014. Residential and commercial real estate are improving around the country with home prices rising and unemployment numbers falling, there is a pent-up demand. With the fear of losing ones job diminished and the fear of falling home prices reduced, Dr. Dotzour believes we will see new spending.

More than 100 members of the Florida Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS and Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Real Estate Professionals gathered Tuesday for an evening of awards and congratulations to honor its Top Producers at the Annual Pinnacle Awards. Herb Fecker, CCIM was the Master of Ceremonies at the prestigious event. He opened the night with a warm welcome for the commercial brokers, bankers and others in attendance.
